Despite her age and the two pandemics she survived, 107-year-old Anna Del Priore said she has no plan of slowing down.

Anna Del Priore is undoubtedly one of the strongest people of our time. At the age of 107, she was able to beat COVID-19.

This lovely lady from Middletown, New Jersey, has quite a unique story as she was also able to beat the Spanish Flu as a child in 1918. Reports said, Anna's sister, 105-year-old Helen Guzzone, from Queens, also recovered from COVID-19.

According to caregivers who are taking care of her at Brighton Gardens of Middletown, Anna has always been active.

As she was dealing with a lot of issues during the illness, her caregivers shared that their patient was not showing any indication of slowing down.

They added that she was even known at the facility to walk over one mile every day to meet up with her friends at McDonald's "for coffee" until she turned 100 years old.

Surviving the Spanish Flu, and Now, COVID-19!

According to Del Priore's health care coordinator at Brighton Gardens, Laura Halle, "It's really been amazing to watch Anna's journey."

The care coordinator added, Anna "is a month shy of 108, and she gets up, combs her hair and dances." For the rest of her life, Halle shared, she could say she met and loved someone who has made it this far and remained healthy.

Anna's granddaughter Darlene Jasmine said she was the one who received the phone call that she said no one would ever want to receive. Her grandmother has contracted COVID-19.

Jasmine described her grandmother as someone who would always dance and loved music. The 66-year-old granddaughter also said, once her grandma hears music, her toes immediately begin to tap.

According to the administrators of Brighton Gardens, when Anna was six years old, she also contracted the Spanish Flu, which of course, she beat as well.

After her grandma was stricken with COVID-19, Jasmine said she had a fever and was not able to eat much. However, Anna did not require a respirator, and the family did not have to send her to the hospital.

Healthy Choices Help Anna Survive Another Pandemic

After surviving COVID-19, Anna said she feels good, and she's thankful to God that she is alive. Meanwhile, Jasmine called her grandmother's recovery from the illness "a miracle," although she said, Anna's lifetime of healthy options likely helped her survive another pandemic.

According to Jasmine, the 107-year-old COVID-19 survivor is continuously moving. She added that they regularly walked in Brooklyn to go to the bakery or grocery store.

Jasmine shared that her grandmother would prepare her a homemade meal from scratch on most nights. Her option: an all-Mediterranean meal, which typically consists of fruits, nuts, vegetables, and olive oil.

Despite her age and the two pandemics she survived, Anna says she has no plans of slowing down. She said she'd keep on dancing because it makes her feel good.
