Noticing Some Signs of Fast Aging? Here are 5 Possible Reasons Why

Do you notice some signs of aging earlier than you've expected? A routine you don't miss out doing every day might be the culprit.

Health experts say this particular routine provides a structure that frames the rest of our day. It also provides the opportunity to develop healthy habits that enhance our general health and wellbeing.

You must be wondering why a single morning habit that, more often than not, is not a 'major thing' could cause you to age fast and early.

But you'll be surprised to discover that some of the common routines you're doing every morning can actually have a harmful contribution to and effect on your health. Specifically, it can even promote aging.

Read on and find out which among these morning routines is possibly aging you fast and early:

A dental expert said, brushing teeth before having a morning cup of coffee means, we are aging our teeth.

1. Eye-Rubbing

Who doesn't do this? Almost every individual rubs his eyes the moment he wakes up in the morning. Even you may be doing this, but you just don't realize it.

According to Chris Norris, a certified sleep science coach, habitually doing this may age your skin. He said, "The skin around our eyes is so thin and prone to wrinkling."

If we rub our eyes, he explained, it can result in broken capillaries and wrinkles "by breaking down the collagens" and lessening the elasticity.

For tired eyes, Norris recommends that you splash them with water then drying them after with a dry and clean cloth, cotton, or towel, instead of rubbing.

2. You're Excessively Drinking Coffee for Breakfast

Lina Velikova, MD, Ph.D. said, consuming too much coffee can affect your health by elevating your blood pressure and damaging your liver. It also has emotional effects like "making you more irritable," and at times, irrational, she elaborated.

What's dangerous about this caffeinated drink, the expert added, is overconsumption, instead of the coffee itself. Thus, the best way to stop the beverage from putting your health in danger is by limiting your consumption of it to a small cup each morning.

3. You Don't Drink Adequate Amount of Water

This is essential, especially if you are a coffee drinker since, according to diet and nutrition experts, coffee can dehydrate you.

If you are getting an eight-hour sleep every night, it means your body is not hydrated for eight whole hours, an expert said.

4. The First Thing You Do in the Morning is Brush Your Teeth

A lot of people do this in the morning. However, according to Max Harland, a dental expert, if we brush our teeth before having our morning cup of coffee, we are aging our teeth.

Instead, Harland recommended brushing teeth after consuming staining drinks, preferably with an interval of 30 minutes.

The 30-minute interval, he explained, is vital for the saliva to neutralize the acidity of the mouth. Or else, we risk damaging our teeth enamel when brushing our teeth "in an acidic environment," Harland further explained.

5. You Don't Eat Breakfast

Norris said that if you've been used to not eating breakfast, now is the best time to convert. He added that breakfast is the essential meal as it gives the body "the foundation of energy for the day."

Studies have found that skipping breakfast can result in hair loss by rejecting the nutrients needed for healthy hair follicles.
