They develop when the bloom of the plant has already died. Web MD explains that they are packed full of Vitamins B, C, and E, with other antioxidants and minerals. Properties that fight inflammation are also present in this fruit.

Rich Source of Vitamin C

Your Health Tube explained that this superfruit contains 50 percent more Vitamin C than oranges. They said that a tablespoon of the pulp provides more than the daily dose of 60 Milligrams.

Healthline also emphasized that Vitamins A and E present in the rosehip also promotes strengthening and protecting your immune system.

They also emphasized that being an astringent, this fruit does not dry the skin, but it helps in rehydrating, keeping the moisture inside. They added that rosehip makes the skin elastic and nourished which means it aids in preventing wrinkles and diminish them when it already appeared.

Precautions

Although packed with vitamins and compounds that can help you prevent different cardiovascular diseases, Healthline advised the people to still take precautions when taking or consuming this fruit as tea or even raw.

Healthline said that the efficacy of rosehip tea has not been studied in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. They added that high levels of Vitamin C may increase the risk of kidney stones in some individuals. They also emphasized that it should not be taken with lithium because rosehip can increase its concentration on the body and may lead to serious side effects.
