Neita has more than 20 years of experience as an executive, as well as in leadership positions in the medical technology and simulation fields. Previously, he held senior roles at Johnson & Johnson and Jabil Healthcare.

With the senior roles he has held in the said industries since over two decades ago, Neita has indeed, proven a track record of growth-focused success.

His most recent position prior to this VirtaMed undertaking was as a Chief Executive Officer at the New York-based Vascular Simulations, Inc. 

As such, he was effectively fulfilling his leadership duties, focusing on new product development efforts and launching advanced manufacturing business models. He also helped establish the company as an industry leader.

A New Leader of VirtaMed's US Subsidiary

According to VirtaMed Co-CEO Raimundo Sierra, they are delighted to welcome Neita as the new leader of their U.S. subsidiary. He added that they were in search for someone who could take VirtaMed to the next level in the market and be an inspiration not just internally, but also externally. 

VirtaMed Co-CEO Stefan Tuchschmid also said that the new CEO is perfectly suitable with the company's culture, and with his winning mindset and experience, he will be an effective instrument in guiding the company through its constant expansion in the American market.

Craig Neita is the VirtaMed North America's new president and general manager.



Neita says VirtaMed caught his attention as a leader in the simulation industry and got very attracted to it and its leading-edge technological developments.

He also expressed how impressed he was with the VirtaMed team and got motivated by its mission to change and make history in the surgical and education field.

The new CEO shared his plan for the company, which is to make the best of VirtaMed's solid foundation as a leader in the industry and help in its growth, pointing to the U.S. market, where the company appears to be performing excellently.

Neita has an MBA from Harvard Business School University. He is also a Master's degree holder in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.

VirtaMed, Finalist for the Swiss MedTech Awards 2020

VirtaMed is one of the three finalists for this year's Swiss MedTech Awards. The company was nominated for its LaparoSTM, a new surgical simulator that enables doctors to improve their laparoscopic skills by utilizing the next-gen haptic feedback combined with virtual reality images.

VirtaMed, along with two other companies, were picked among 24 other competing organizations. The winner will be announced on September 21, during the Swiss Medtech Day in Bern.

The declared winning medtech firm will be awarded 50,000 Swiss Francs, to be provided by sponsors including Lichtsteiner Foundation, the Straumann Group, and Ypsomed.

VirtaMed Inc. covers North American commercial undertakings like business development, education and training, and service and support.

Product development remains in the company's Switzerland office for the time being. Its key-simulating medical expertise includes arthroscopy for orthopedics, hysteroscopy, gynecological laparoscopy, IUD replacement, ultrasound, and embryo transfer for ObGyn, Laser BPH, TURP and TURB for urology, and laparoscopy for general surgery.
